2025 National Symposium on Low-Carbon and Flexibility Retrofitting Technologies for Power Generation Units Concludes Successfully

On August 7, the 2025 National Symposium on Low-Carbon and Flexibility Retrofitting Technologies for Power Generation Units was successfully held in Beijing. The conference focused on the national energy transition strategy, aiming to promote low-carbon retrofitting and flexibility enhancement of coal-fired power units, facilitate the integration of renewable energy, and discuss new technologies and experiences in low-carbon and flexibility retrofitting, such as hydrogen-cooled generators. The event sought to empower new quality productive forces and drive high-quality development in the energy sector. Nearly 300 attendees, including officials from national ministries, industry experts, representatives from power generation groups, and research institutions, gathered for in-depth discussions, offering insights for building a new energy system.

At the opening ceremony, Xu Donghua, President of the China Association of Equipment Management and Director of the Mechanical Industry Economic Management Research Institute under the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), Guo Yungao, Secretary-General of the Energy and Environment Professional Committee of the China Environmental Protection Federation, and Li Bo, General Manager of Henan Relations Co., LTD., delivered speeches.
